Wolverina
I never knew what to say as a child when someone asked what super powers I wanted. I thought about flight and mind-reading, but they never seemed right; they were just stock answers.
Well after the past two months having spinal surgery, surgery to repair a torn tendon in my arm, and broken my big toe on the 4th of July, I've decided.
I want to be Wolverine.
Ok well Wolverina.
I want to be imbibed with adamantium. There'd be less clumsiness, less recovery time, and I'd be able to kick some major ass.

MTV Movie Awards - A Sort of Live Blog
I'm over a friend's house to watch the MTV Movie Awards. I usually don't watch award shows (except for the Oscars) and just find clips on YouTube afterwards, but I figured since I was actually watching this time, I'd blog random commentary. There are spoilers.
Currently watching Punk'd...the menu says it's supposed to be the red carpet though, so not sure what's going on.
HAHA...poor Drake. Fake earthquakes in parking garages, tasered pregnant wives, lmfao. That was awesome.
"You know you've really accomplished something if Ashton punks you." - Drake
Josh Hutcherson is my teenage hero.
Kind of want more Punk'd, this "red carpet" preview has very few actual red carpet stars.
"Is Prometheus the name of your penis?" - Joshua SomethingOrOtherFromMTV
Channing Tatum can DANCE. Damn. I'll have to see Magic Mike just for that.
"YouTube.com/YouFuckedUp" - haha. Oh Ashton and your insanity. Kim Kardashian was super calm. I need to channel her relaxing attitude on a daily basis, methinks.
"Be aggressive! Passive aggressive!" - best line ever. (The Perks of Being a Wallflower)

FUN. Love this song. The Glee version is my ringtone. Shut up; don't judge me.
I'm only 30 but I feel so old. Who the hell are these people.

Jennifer Aniston wins the first award: Biggest Dirtbag. Only on MTV!

Breakthrough Award goes to...Shaline Woodley. I rooted for Melissa McCarthy but congrats to Shaline!
Best Male Performance Award goes to...Josh Hutcherson! He's fantastic. A better Peeta than I could ever could have hoped for. My bestie said, "Cato gave him a high-five." LOL Cute.
K-stew and the other Hemsworth brother. The height difference is adorable.
Best Female Performance Award is...Jennifer Lawrence for The Hunger Games! "Thanks to Suzanne Collins for creating such an iconic character in Katniss."
Wiz Khalifa doin' his thing on the stage. I've...never heard any of his stuff. Again, old. Or just oblivious.
Best Kiss Award...goes to R-Pattz and K-stew again. Poor girl had to make-out with herself b/c Rob's not there, haha.
Generational Award to Johnny Depp. He's amazing and absolutely deserves it. So many phenomenal movies in one lifetime and such an inspiration to actors.
Holy hell! Johnny Depp on stage with The Black Keys...he just got even sexier. Didn't know that was possible.
He got a little teary-eyed accepting the award. "Based on the (movie) clips (that were just shown), there's obviously something wrong with me." HAHA, nooooooo. Not at all!
Best Fight Award...Jennifer Lawrence & Josh Hutcherson vs. Alexander Ludwig. Draw the X, shoot the arrow!
Wow...what is up with the rodents and small animal transitions in this show. Crazy cats with automatic weapons!! :o)
Best Cast Award...Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Well-deserved.
RIP Hedwig and Dobby.
Best On-Screen Transformation Award...ooh Channing Tatum started stripping...not gonna complain...holy hell, Alcide Herveaux from True Blood! So much hotness on one stage....the award goes to Elizabeth Banks! Effie Trinket come to life. Gettin' dirty with the boys on stage.
I think the bestie is having a coronary over Channing Tatum. Says she needs to go watch "Step Up" again even though it sucked, haha.
Emma Stone is getting the award for Trailblazer. Jim Carrey with an anti-Emma t-shirt and a hybrid baby.

Three amazing men on stage...Gary Oldman, Christian Bale, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Can't wait to see the new Batman movie. Christian Bale taking a moment to remember Heath Ledger, RIP.
New footage from The Dark Knight Rises. Anne Hathaway is Catwoman, wow. Holy crap, if you haven't seen the trailer already, go, watch!
Little known fact: I briefly dated Anne Hathaway's junior prom date while I was in grad school in New Jersey.

Core Strengthening
Met with the trainer for an hour today and then got on the elliptical for another 30 minutes afterward. We focused on the core to strengthen the back and abdominals as per the doctor's instructions. Considering going every day. It always kicks my ass but I feel accomplished afterwards.

Gym Bunny
Got my ample behind to the gym today for the first time in ages. They have a physical therapist on-site and trainers who are going to work with me to strengthen my core since I just had spinal surgery about six weeks ago. Excited and nervous and jelly-legged.

Anxiety and Eating Disorders
So if I were to have a white t-shirt from the Glee "Born This Way" episode, it would probably look like this:
Anxiety has plagued me from a very young age. So young, in fact, that I can't even remember the first time I felt its icy-cold fingers wrap around my heart and prevent me from doing something I wanted to do. Its also given me quite the binge eating disorder that I struggle with on a daily, sometimes hourly, basis.
